Dear All,
I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.
1. Is it normal for the primary applicant to not receive FP notice at the same time as dependent?
2. Can my wife get it done without me getting an FP notice?
3. Can I get my FP done on the same day as my wife even though I did not receive my FP notice?
4. I have filed for I-485, EAD and AP, will we both receive an FP notice for all 3 applications or it is just one FP for all applications?
Please help us with your expertise. Thank you very much for all your time.

Why did u change employer, w/o getting any info about filing with ne wemployer befor ahead.
If you file in 2008 (No matter whetehr it is Eb2 or Eb3), as per present situation u can forget for next 10 + years.

But I have a lot to be thankful for. Thanks to IV, he has his EAD and can have one less thing to worry about in his new job search.
Sorry to hear that - I think it's a turn for the better! Last time I parted company it wasn't on the best of terms and quite bitter for many reasons but a few years hence it was the best that has happened to me yet

The USCIS website says one need to file 6 months in advance for EAD. It may come out to be true now based on the flood of applications received after July 1st this year. I filed for EAD extentions 3 times in last three years and last 2 times I got in less than a month, this year it took close to 3 months. So always apply 6 months in advance as advised in website

I went to REC (one of the top 20 schools in India) did my Mastrs in Full scholarship and have International papers for IEEE + Few Algorithms that have been presented at Int. Conferences,( I could not attend the conf. in Paris since I did not want to go and get stamped and go through all the hassel- Go figure). I am an Ideal candidate for EB1 but my lawyer said there is a 50/50 chance for further enquiry and it will only delay the process.
I know, I know but trust me, I was a University topper in Probablity and AI theories and I decided to chicken-out.
Not because I am afraid of enquiries, I just dont want to raise any flags. I want to keep working, Hopefully get my GC within few* years and then prove myself .
I applied under EB2 only because I don't want any enquiries and I know these POS lawyers will only delay the RFE's.
Anyway, I was just frustated, sorry about this rage but just needed an outlet.
People will only file under EB1 when A) They are not from India/China and They are not afraid to go and face any flags.
& /OR B) They have good lawyer, who is very much prudent and willing to take chances.
Any other theories and welcome

My case was approved on April 27, but I have got nothing on the mail so far and I have my sister's wedding to attend in my country... My husband can go later and give it to me, but I'm a little afraid.
I wanna know if evrything was ok with you and if u would recommend me to do that. I'm going crazy cause my flight is for May 11th and if I need to cancel I gotta do it 2 days in advance, no later than tomorrow I guess... I don't know If I should wait or just cancel flight. I'm going crazy!
Please let me know how it went for you. Or if anyone else have traveled in this way before, give me some advice.

Has any one here changed their maiden name or their spouses maiden name in the US? I heard that it takes 1 week if one hands over passport and documents in person. I plan to go to SFO CGi to get this done before filing I-485 on Jul 1st.
I recently got married and did not have time in India to change the name.
Any experiences/advise is appreciated. My apologies if this is already discussed in previous threads.

Thanks, Sanju. I was wondering where to ask for assurance; looks like you have found a place. I too need some help: last time my fingerprint check took almost 8 months (!) and I gave one set of them again today. Can somebody assure me that they will comeback before the dates become U again. The desperation of your post suggests that you don't need direction, you need therapy. We just need someone to give us some assurance that we will all be fine and live to see the light of the day on Tuesday even if DoS sends out a revised Visa Bulletin. At this time, I too need similar assurance from someone. Can anybody help?
